History
The Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization officially formed in 1997. The previous names of the organization were Collegiate Entrepreneurs of the Midwest and Collegiate Entrepreneurs of Illinois. CEO’s first conferences held attendance of more than 700 students representing nearly 100 universities. Currently, CEO is the premier entrepreneurship network with over 230 chapters on university campuses across North America. UH CEO is a proud chapter of the national CEO. We’re striving to be the best ceo chapter in the nation. Being located in Houston,Texas we have access to the best resources in the nation for student entrepreneurs. UH CEO is a place to develop business ideas, network with mentors and students, and become entrepreneurs.

CEO Vision: The Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization is the permier global entrepreneurship network, envisioned to serve more than 400 colleges and universities and 20,000 students.
CEO Mission: The Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization informs, supports, and inspires college students to be entrepreneurial and seek opportunity through enterprise creation.

In 1999, the Kaufman Foundation joined the Coleman Foundation to support CEO. CEO had funding to hire staff and spread to many universities. In more recent times, Peter Thomas of LifePilot also helped sponsor CEO. Recent conferences have had over 1,600 in attendance thanks to these generous sponsors.
Today, CEO continues to promote its mission to inform, support, and inspire college students to be entrepreneurial and seek opportunity through enterprise creation.
